Absurd Cardio - Kettlebell Tabata For Absolutely Insane Cardio!

If you are looking for a seriously crazy cardio workout then you have got to try the kettlebell tabata method. So what is the tabata method? Well, the tabata method includes a whole body exercise that involves 20 seconds of work followed by only 10 seconds of active recovery. This process goes on for 8 rounds for a total of 4 minutes. When we include the kettlebell into the equation the workout becomes extremely challenging. Keep reading if I have your attention.

Kettlebell Tabata For Serious Cardio!

In order to implement the kettlebell tabata method into your cardio routine you will want to make sure that you have either a single specific kettlebell strength endurance lift chosen to use or you can alternate through a series of different lifts if you wish. To keep this simple lets use the kettlebell swing as the lift of choice.

To begin this workout you will want to have a timer available. You might even want to work with a partner so one person can utilize the timer when the other is working. When the timer starts you will want to execute the kettlebell swing lift for 20 seconds. As soon as the 20 seconds is up you will then set the bell down and you can either shake off the tension for 10 seconds or just stand idle. When your 10 seconds is up get to cranking out the swings again. Now the point of this is to be very STRICT on your rest time. In order for this particular version of the kettlebell tabata workout to be effective you will want to make sure you are swinging a relatively heavy bell in order to get your heart rate up since you are only working for 20 second intervals.
