Blackjack is the most popular casino game in the world. It's a game of chance and the controversial skill of counting cards that offers huge returns. It was first played in France around 1700 and became popular in the USA in the 1800s. It is now played throughout the world where gambling is allowed and can make or break someone. It is called Blackjack because a player gets an additional payout if he/she gets the Jack of Spades and the Ace of Spades as the first two cards.

There are now innumerable websites that allow a player to play Blackjack from the comfort of his/her home such as the UK's supercasino. All one needs is a PC, an Internet connection (the faster the better) and a credit card if they are planning on putting some cash into the account to gamble with. For instance, one can visit some reputable online casino site to start playing the game immediately. The first step is the registration, which is fairly simple. After the registration is complete, money needs to be deposited to be able to participate in live Blackjack. One can start with an amount as low as £20 to £3000 (for UK based sites). After the money is deposited through credit card, the player is now ready to start playing.

Once a player clicks on the links to play Blackjack, he/she needs to choose from one of the playing rooms. There is a live dealer set of tables and in most cases a virtual one to pick from. There are multiple players in a room unlike real casinos where there is usually 6 players at any one table. Each of the players and the dealer are dealt two cards. The dealer has one card face up and the other face down. Depending on the card combination, a player can ask for more cards, which can be done by clicking the "Hit" button or choose not to by clicking the "Stand" button. If the player's cards sum up to more than that of the dealer, then there's a payout. On the other hand, if the dealer's card sum up to more than that of the player, the player loses. The dealer has to "Hit" if the cards sum up to less than 17 and "Stand" if it's more than 17. A player can also split the cards by clicking the "Split" button if both the cards are the same.

Then there's a double chance of winning. The important thing to remember is that one shouldn't go above 21 and bust. Of course, an additional payout is awarded if anyone gets a Jack and Ace combination. And as mentioned above, if the first two cards are the Jack and Ace of Spades, then it's the perfect combination and is called a Blackjack.

Playing live blackjack is almost as thrilling as the real thing, provided one doesn't miss the hustle and bustle of a land casino. It helps one to concentrate more and play with relatively less pressure. It's very simple and someone with a basic knowledge of Internet can play easily.

Check out the online super casino to discover where you can play games of live blackjack in the UK.
