If you are a mother, I want you to take a moment to imagine something with me. It is early in the morning around 6am. You get yourself up even though you are feeling mighty groggy this morning. You make your way to the kitchen to prepare some coffee and toast for breakfast while trying to wake up your kids for school. You are so tired, but you know what you must get them up and dressed so that you can get a shower and head out the door. You rush them off to school, quickly get ready for work and head out into massive traffic on the freeway. You are 15 minutes late and have to hear your boss chew your ear off about it. You spend your day doing a job you hate with people who irritate you before rushing through lunch and hurrying home through traffic to prepare dinner. You spend about 30 minutes with your kids after they eat and do homework. Then everyone goes to bed and does it again the next day. Exhausting, huh? Thankfully, work at home moms have a vastly different kind of day.
You see, I used to be a part of that rat race of a lifestyle. I was missing everything my kids were doing. Thankfully, the economy and some health challenges caused me to get laid off. From that point forward, I put my brain to use and created internet businesses that support my family. Here is how a typical day might look for a work from home mom:
• Get up and prepare a good breakfast for the kids before they start school (we homeschool)
• Have a cup of coffee after they start and catch up on some emails.
• Grab my laptop and head to my recliner for a few hours.
• Work on my online businesses, catch up with a few friends on Facebook and grab a shower
• Have lunch with my husband for as long as we want since we both now work from home
• Play the Wii once the kids are finished with their lessons
• Work on my business, read a book, study, etc.
• Prepare dinner and watch some fun family TV shows with the kids
• Tuck them in and start over again the next day
Nowhere in my day is there traffic. I used to do a 3 hour commute each day. No one tells me how long I can eat lunch. No one tells me I have to work when I don't want to work that day. No one tells me to come in even though I have a cold or a stomach ache. No one tells me how much income I can make.
Work at home moms can make a massive income from the privacy and comfort of home. The key is knowing how to do it, how to tell opportunities from scams and how to get started.
