Affiliate marketing is one of the most consistent ways to make money. The internet has assured us of this over the last 20 years since it is such a powerful and proven tool. Why then do so many affiliates looking to make money online (and especially beginners) fail so miserably?
A Structured System Is A Must To Make Make Online.
The complex nature of affiliate marketing and making money online will be obvious to any beginner.
If you want to make money online as an affiliate marketer, then you will have to invest time in becoming competent at all of the pieces of the puzzle. Some affiliate marketers prefer to outsource some of the work that is too technical. You could do this once you are more skilled, but you must have a solid grounding in how things work.
There is a big difference between a strategy and a structured system.
A strategy would be a set of principles about how you would make your affiliate business succeed. For example, choosing a method such as article marketing or blogging to market your chosen product could be regarded as a strategy. But suppose you choose 2 or 3 different strategies and you put this together with all the many pieces of technical stuff needed to make your business work - things could get very out of hand.
This is especially so if you are not competent at some of the technical skills or strategies. Now here is where a structured system becomes invaluable. Most "gurus" online are trying to sell you something that promises you quick results. Don't be fooled by that. In many instances they have left out some piece of the puzzle assuming you know what to do. If you're a beginner, this can be extremely frustrating and can cost you a small fortune as you buy yet another "guru" product.
A good training program will provide a comprehensive structured system that has worked successfully for its creator. This person would have made a great deal of money online using such a system and continues to do so. He will be able to teach you the system, train you in how to use it and coach you over a period of time until you too are succeeding.
The lack of a structured system is one of the major reasons why beginner affiliate marketers fail in their efforts. You could be trying to throw a whole bunch of untested ideas together with some of the pieces of the puzzle and hoping it will work. Many "make money online" products available online do give you some system - but the system will not become a competence with you unless you have a coaching process around it.
Many beginner affiliate marketers are unable to make the system work because they do not have competence in the technical pieces of the affiliate marketing puzzle, or they lack competence in understanding the details of the chosen strategies or worse still they do not have a structured system by which to work.
Sticking to a structured system until it becomes an unconscious competence is the key to succeeding in affiliate marketing.
