The Nokia 6760 is a phone that offers a few surprises. To look at the phone it would be difficult to ascertain that it actually has a full QWERTY keyboard hidden behind its colourful display screen. Turn the unit on its side and it resembles a mini laptop in some respects, which is probably the idea.

The full QWERTY keyboard is an excellent inclusion and one that is winning favour with the consumer as is testified by the number of handsets that are coming onto the market with similar offerings, such as the Motorola Dext. The keyboard is responsive and offers an excellent means of entering data and text.

A 3.15 mega pixel camera is an integral element of this handset and takes effective photos. The camera operates at a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and also provides the means to record video at QVGA quality and at 15 frames per second.

The display screen on the phone is a 2.4 inch TFT screen which offers excellent colour reproduction due to its ability to display up to 16 million colours. The screens ability to display so many colours and their variants means that images have true life like colour and are vibrant.

Connectivity is provided by the GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE, Blue tooth and microUSB connections which allows the user to perform a huge variety of tasks. The HSDPA connection which is also integrated into the unit is able to provide fast internet access. Satellite navigation has become the standard on several ranges of phones, and the GPS with A-GPS support feature included with this phone offers that facility.

An MP3/MP4 player is included within the package and offers the ability to download and play a large variety of audio and video files. The phone comes with an internal memory capacity of 128 Mb and with some packages comes with a 2 Gb card, however this can be expanded further by the use of the microSD card facility up to 8 Gb.

The Nokia 6760 is a compact phone which has physical dimensions of 97 mm by 57mm wide and 15 mm thick. It is a well designed phone which uses all of the available space very well. The inclusion of the keyboard is an essential factor which will define its success.
