A Fantastic Discovery For Dry Skin Chaos

Are you frustrated with flaky skin?

I remember vividly waking up with tight, flaky skin, which I would simply drench in moisturizer - whatever I had on hand - before applying my morning makeup routine. Inevitably, I'd end up late for work, because the moisturizer would simply sit on top of my skin, my makeup would only highlight the dry patches, and I'd wipe it off and start all over again. Then spend the day obsessing about my skin, distracting me from just getting through the day.

So began the quest - I spent months trying different creams for getting rid of dry skin. Some felt thick like mud, others caused stinging and redness. Some smelled like my grandmother's attic, others left a greasy sheen. Still another had the consistency of lip balm.

I hate to imagine the myriad ingredients I forced onto - and into - my skin during that phase. This led me to begin researching natural topical creams for dry skin and I was thrilled to discover the benefits of jojoba oil.

Derived from the seeds of the jojoba plant, the oil has been used by Native Americans for hundreds of years. It's non-greasy, but forms a layer that prevents water-loss, so to keep dry skin hydrated. It doesn't evaporate like water-based moisturizers. And the fact that it quickly absorbs into the skin allows for softening and dissolution of those pesky flakes.

Because of its natural components, jojoba oil is superior to a number of creams for getting rid of dry skin. Furthermore, it can be used for a myriad of reasons - from moisturizing your lips to conditioning your hair.

It's an amazing discovery and a fantastic ingredient to look for while researching your skin care regimen.
