A Comment Or Two on Yoga DVDs

Rodney Yee has created an ABS Yoga for Beginners video that many people seem to be talking about. And while there are several videos that are taking yoga to a whole new level of exercise and toning the body. According to the reviews, Rodney's video is teaching the dedicated student how to use the weight of their own body to sculpt and tone the abdominal muscles of the body. Of the 41 listed reviews, 22 people gave this Yoga DVDs a 5 star rating and only 4 gave it a low rating. Which shows that the majority of people found this DVD very helpful to them in their quest for toned and sculpted Abs.

Several people did mention, in their reviews, that the work outs on this Yoga DVDs was not exactly what they thought they would be. "It doesn't use a lot of typical yoga poses." was the quote of one of the reviews, however the writer did go on to say that the poses which were presented did have the feel as well as the breathing techniques of the more traditional yoga poses. With this information in mind the buyer does have the ability to truly understand exactly what to expect from the Yoga DVDs.

I did however wonder about the length of the Yoga DVDs. Most videos of this type seemed to be about an hour long and yet Rodney's was reportedly only about 26 minutes long and so I wonder if that is an adequate amount of time to work on the abdominal muscles. These muscles are generally difficult to get into shape especially if you are trying to sculpt as well as tone the abdominal muscles.

I just want to mention that one review stated that they felt like the video was mostly stretching and not much of a workout, however this particular video is listed as a Yoga video for beginners. Any exercise or workout program that is designed for beginners would most naturally be full of stretching as well as breathing in order to develop proper flexation. Without starting this way, the beginner could do some serious damage to muscle systems and ligaments that are not ready.
