With mobile phone manufacturers coming out with their products left, right and centre, the phone market has been flooded with these evolving devices in a choking fashion. And choking is exactly the right word if you were to assess the market from close quarters. It seems quite amusing at times though, considering the fact that this tremendous proliferation has in turn given rise to an air of competition, which even lurks within the walls of the same manufacturer. Now the attention has shifted from the common arena where phones by different manufacturers took on each other to individual arenas where phones by the same player compete against each other. This was, of course the direct consequence of a universally adopted concept of upgradation through a strategy of releasing phones in some innovatively structured series, aka the Nokia N series, The Motorola RAZR series and the Samsung F series.
With an infallible knack to deliver some of the most innovative mobile phones in the world, South Korean manufacturer Samsung proved itself to be a worthy subject for my comparative study. The flame of competition burning brightly within this player too, it is almost impossible to miss out on two of its most promising models for the observation. The Samsung F700 and the Samsung F300 are two of the best in the Ultra range.
The Samsung F700 is an ultra smart 3G phone with a sliding QWERTY keyboard and a fully controllable 2.78 inch TFT colour touch screen. The design and the contour of this HSDPA technology enabled phone comes across as a refreshing change, besides which it is the usual assimilation of features like a music player, competitive camera, document viewer, connectivity channels and Internet browsers seen in today's world.
The Samsung F300 ultra music phone is comparatively a modestly endowed model with music as its biggest attraction. Other features like a 2.0 megapixel camera, FM radio, connectivity routers and Internet browsers co-exist, although they still fail to take the Samsung F300 above the former.
