A Beautiful World Tomorrow - From the Pictures You Take Today

Expert Author Keith A Jones

Without a doubt, we live in a crazy world. The images on the 6:00 news can be shocking as well as depressing.

People around us can be petty, mean, or downright annoying. And that can include family and friends! Do you want to escape for a few minutes? I'll bet you never thought about looking at some of your pictures from the past or even recent years to get into a mellow mood.

Memories from photographs will usually give us a sense of serenity or happiness if only for a few moments. Pictures are usually taken during a good time.,when we aren't arguing with the wife or scolding the children. Something nice or interesting is usually going on. Take a look at one of your children's pictures from when they were maybe two years old or less. Look at all that innocence bursting through their eyes. Or take a look at the picture from the sixth grade band performance. Of course the songs were barely recognizable and earplugs might have been nice, but didn't they deserve an "E" for effort? Maybe there was a dance performance and your child was the cutest and most talented child there. Remember?.

If little things like that bring a smile to your face then let this be a reminder for you to take more pictures now. Life has its ups and downs but why not capture those upbeat moments and times now so you can smile later? Don't worry about being a great photographer! There are plenty of books and websites out there that can help you take better pictures even if you are a beginner. My website is listed below this article.

Don't you dare go on vacation without taking pictures! You'll be back to work before you know it and those pictures will remind you that you actually had a break from your routine, maybe boring world. Looking at past vacation pictures will give you a spark and something to look forward to, like another vacation. One of my goals is to visit the Great Pyramids of Egypt. When it happens, I surely will take lots of pictures to remind me that I traveled there and fulfilled one of my dreams.

We all get a kick out of looking at pictures of ourselves from ten or twenty years ago when we were "cool". Want to give your kids a good laugh? Show them pictures of you and your cool clothes and hairstyles from "back in the day".

Another reason to take lots of pictures is because sometimes we lose contact with people that we might have had a good time with. (yes I know that there are people that you are glad are not around, but lets stick with the positive) Out of sight, out of mind doesn't always apply when you have pictures to look back on.

Friends and family are not the only good subjects for pictures. Have you noticed lately how beautiful nature is? Try taking a close up picture of a flower in your back yard. You will be amazed at the detail in your picture that you don't even notice in the flower on a day to day basis. A picture of a beautiful sunset or sunrise can take your mind off all the madness that might be going on if only for a few moments.

As you probably know, pictures can be a kind of reminder that you have had a life and are still having a good life. There are certain years in my own life that I cant recall too much about, but a photograph usually brings back some of the memories of that time.

So don't forget to use your camera and take pictures on a more regular basis. When you look back on those pictures, you just might see a beautiful world.

Keep taking those beautiful memories. Visit my website http://easybasicphotography.com for tips on taking better pictures.
