Landscape postcards are a fast growing trend in the advertising business as many people go back to basics and benefit from this traditional yet surprisingly effective method. Postcards can be a great way to gain extra business exposure in your local area meaning you get more customers within your accepted traveling distance. Here are seven great ways you can help to improve your landscape postcard advertising even further.
1. Use High Quality Digital Photography.
Using high quality images and photographs such as those of perfect gardens and landscaping work you have done in the past will be much more effective than using grayscale, low resolution and blurred images. Make sure your postcard image is crisp, clear and detailed enough to provide a positive image for your business. Many people will associate the quality of the image with the quality of the business much like when a person views a home and garden positively in the summer but negatively in the winter or on rainy days
2. Use Full Color Printing.
Full color printing can make all the difference when it comes to a postcard advertising campaign. Grayscale or minimal, dull or washed out coloring can reflect poorly on your business. Customers are much more likely to respond positively and take action with a full color postcard rather than a grayscale one. This is especially important during the summer months when everything is about bright and bold colors.
3. Plan out Your Delivery Area Carefully.
Plan out who you are going to send your landscape postcards to in advance of your big distribution drive. Carefully plan out which areas you can work in and which ones will yield the best results. Try not to include homes and establishments that will obviously not require any landscaping services such as those that have no gardens as this will only provoke a negative response from them towards your business.
4. Make your Postcards Personal.
You may not be able to address everyone in your neighborhood by name but you should make sure you don't treat anyone as just another number when preparing your landscape postcards.
5. Keep your Postcard Design Simple.
A postcard is a very small medium to work with and the idea is to provide a clear and concise message to the viewer. Your main method of communication is going to be the postcard image on the front. Additional details such as the name of the company, your business address and telephone number, should be kept on the back of the card. You can include a short message to your potential customers but don't overload your postcard with unnecessary text.
6. Invest in a Quality Printing Company.
Choose your printing company wisely by researching what they can do for you. For example, do they have support for any questions you may have? Can you talk to someone about your project and the printing requirements? Do they offer bulk discounts on flyer printing and reduced shipping costs for advance purchases? Get to know your chosen printing company well and you can avoid any printing errors or design errors later on such as inadequate bleed space, washed out colors and low resolution.
7. Save Money With Bulk: Landscape Flyer Printing.
While direct mail and flyer printing is already a highly cost effective advertising method, you may want to save even more pennies with your project by ordering in bulk. Many small businesses will cut back on essentials such as color printing and professional designers but there are other ways to save money in the long term for your business. Take advantage of your printing company's bulk discounts, advanced purchase offers and special rates.
