Successful article marketing seems like an almost impossible goal for the new article writer. Many don't know exactly where to start. They just don't understand the need for patience, dedication and commitment to their article writing. Don't allow yourself to fall into this trap with your article writing. Take the right steps upfront and then stay with it.

Step #1) Set the stage for success. It seems so trivial that it should even be mentioned. Yet many new article writers fail to take the upfront steps to make article writing possible. The most important early step is to create a space for your writing. While some article writers can write good articles from any location and at any time, most are not so lucky. Set up a dedicated writing area for yourself. Find a location where you are comfortable and can totally focus on turning our top quality articles one after the other.

Step #2) Gain the knowledge you need. There is both an art and a science to creating high quality, in demand articles that will lend themselves to successful article marketing. Fortunately there are experts available to share their knowledge. Read eBooks, attend seminars, and examine coaching programs. Each offers unique training to meet your exact needs.

Step #3) Do your research. As you gain more knowledge about successful article marketing, start researching your chosen topic. Gain knowledge about your targeted clients by visit blogs, read newsletters, and subscribing with appropriate experts. Learn the hot topics. Find out about the biggest problems and questions being faced. Then write on those topics. Complete keyword research and identify the perfect keywords.

Step #4) Plan first. While you may hear about shortcuts and easy ways to do article marketing, for the beginner it is important to learn and understand the right steps and then to plan exactly what will be done. This doesn't take hours or weeks. In a short amount of time you can outline your own plans for article marketing in your chosen niche. Repeat this as you start writing. Develop a basic plan for your articles. This brief outline of each article should include the topic, title and key points to be covered in the article.

Step #5) Stay dedicated to your work. Every article writer knows there will be days when the last thing they want to do is to write 5 or 10 more articles. Yet it is that dedication that ultimately makes the difference. Make an appointment with yourself to write. Then always keep that appointment. Complete the planned article writing. You will see the rewards for your dedication soon enough.

Step #6) Take action. Successful article marketing is all about taking action to take each of the steps outlined above and to write many, many high-quality articles. Beyond the obvious benefits, you will also find your article writing begins to stand out. You are becoming a better and better article writer as your experience grows. Yet without taking that first step none of the results would have been achieved.
