This opening hook should be an attention-grabbing sentence or paragraph that makes them want to read your emails further. Just in case you didn't know, most people do not read emails upon opening them. They skim them.

The opening paragraph gets read first and then it is followed by any bullet points that they can pick out. Which means that every promotional email you send out should be benefit-oriented using bullet points. These bullet points must bring out the most desirable benefits that your potential customers will receive if they take you up on your offer.

Last but not least, one of the most profitable things to include in an email is the post script, or PS. Use your postscripts to throw in something that you want your readers to remember more than anything else. It can be the main point of your email, or if you're only promoting something for a limited time, it can be a reminder to them that there time to take you up on your offer is short.
