5LINX is a telecommunications company that offers cellular phones and plans from all major US carriers, satellite television from DISH Network and DIRECTV, broadband internet service, and home security solutions. 5LINX is a subsidiary of GLOBALINX, which gives them the ability to also offer VoIP services for residential and business clients. 5LINX prides themselves for being a true one-stop shop for all of your telecommunication needs.

5LINX offers a multi-level marketing (MLM) business opportunity in a $400 billion dollar telecommunications industry. They give you an opportunity to profit from the necessary products and services that people use on a daily basis.

You can join 5LINX in one of two ways. First, you can join as a Customer Representative for $99. For this price, you will enjoy 5LINX products and services, and your own personal website. You will be paid commissions and bonuses based upon your personal production. However, your income potential will be limited to your personal production only. You will not be compensated based upon the production of those in your downline. Second, you can join as an Independent Marketing Representative for $499. This will give you all of the benefits of the first package, but will also give you the ability to profit from the sales of your downline as well.

As an Independent Marketing Representative (IMR), you will be given an opportunity to earn a Quick Start Bonus of $1,000 if you are able to achieve 20 customer points, and recruit 2 new IMRs in your first 30 days. Customer points represent every service that a potential customer might purchase. For example, if you develop 5 customers who purchase 4 of the products or services that 5LINX offers, this will achieve your 20 customer points.

You will be given an opportunity to build a residual monthly income from your personal sales and recruiting efforts. For example, when you recruit 20 new IMRs to join your business, and each IMR acquires 20 customers, this will pay you a residual monthly income of $200. Another example, if you recruit 200 IMRs, and each IMR has 20 customers, this will pay you a residual monthly income of $2,000

As you achieve certain levels of success, you will be promoted through the ranks of 5 different leadership positions. These include Executive Trainer, Executive Director, National Director, Senior Vice President, and finally Platinum Senior Vice President. The higher the leadership position that you obtain, the more lucrative their compensation plan becomes.

As a representative of 5LINX, you will receive training and marketing materials, a personal website and business reporting. You can participate in their 5LINX University, and ongoing training will be available to you via their conference calls. This is however a multi-level marketing business, so the making a list of friends and relatives, and contacting them to purchase products and join your business will still apply.

In my opinion, 5LINX is a legitimate company, and they offer a solid business opportunity for someone who has the expertise to market beyond their warm market of family and friends. From my example, to create that monthly income of $2,000, you will need to utilize more modern methods of marketing to achieve this goal within any sort of reasonable time frame. Recruiting 200 friends and family, and asking them to find 20 customers a piece will be no small task. For many, it will be impossible. The telecommunications industry is very competitive. Someone is always coming out with the latest and greatest technologies at lower prices. If you truly desire success in your 5LINX business, you will need to focus on building strong relationships to produce trust and loyalty to improve your customer retention in this industry.
