5LINX is a private held company that has been around for 9 years. 5LINX is a telecommunication is in Voice Over Internet Protocol. 5LINX has two main products they sell and that's the DTA box that allow people to talk on the phone and call anywhere in the united states and 70 other country for a low rate. 5LINX sell a Video Phone so that people all all around the world can see who they are talking.

Both products the DTA box and the Video phone need the Internet to get a dial tone. The Video Phone allow you to be able to connect via WIFI or ether net cable. These are 5LINX main product they also have a application out for the Phone that allow you to use there service to save you some money on your phone bill. This service only require you to have a 3g connection and you can call unlimited to anywhere depending on what plan you pick.

5LINX also have partnered with various other company's in the telecommunication arena. As a rep you can sell Cellphones, home Security, home/ business phone service, ID Guard, satellite Television, and Internet.

The company gives you a website for your customers to sign up; however it is a industry website just like everyone else the content is the same and it is hard for you to get raw clicks or traffic using this website. As a leader you have to have something in place to support that website but not break any of 5LINX rules in the process.

Now, I will be the first to say being a rep for 5LINX is great because of the service but you can have the best service in the world and if you are new to marketing you want make any money. Why? Because 5LINX only teach you one way to market and that's to market to your friends and family not your cold market. Now I am not going to say this is wrong or right what I will say is this should not be your end all be all because this will not work for everyone.

One of the biggest problems in 5LINX is you only make money if you're qualified. This mean that you can go bring people in and if they don't make there first sell then you don't move up in rank. So this mean that not only do you have to work but you have to be a leader and know how to get your team to work.

You can bring in as many people as you like and have 100 customers and you will not see your residual income until you hit the first position in the company. Now the only way to hit the first position is for your team to get qualified this mean they have to buy or sell one qualified service and they must keep one customer to stay qualified.

Another problem with 5LINX is they teach you to market to your family and friends. This is the old way of doing things there are a lot of better ways you can market to people and you don't have to take up all your time calling people and trying to get them to come out to the meetings.

One off the biggest problem with having people come out to your business opportunity is if you have a skilled speaker in the room he can close your people out with no problem, here is where the problem come in when they get home and they friends and family tell them no and its two weeks later and they have not made a sell, they realize they did not want a home based business and now you have to try to get them to work. Now they will stay in because they want to make there money back.

When it come to marketing you have to have your own voice people are looking for someone that can teach them how to be a leader and having 20 different people say the same thing over is not going to get you to the income you are looking for.

The way I teach my reps isn't the way 5LINX teach. Why? Because its not duplicatable. This means I can not tell you to go talk to your friends and family and I already know that's not going to work. There is nothing you do that you don't get paid for as long as the person you bring in gets qualified before their 30 days are up.
