Dublin is not renowned for its food but there are nevertheless some very good restaurants in the Irish capital. The city in fact has a large number of restaurants that visitors to Ireland will be able to choose from when they wish to dine out. Below a list of the top five restaurants in the city.
1. Cucina - Located on Unit 9A, Kings Court, Parnell Street, City Center North, this restaurant offers its diners a selection of Italian dishes. Cucina's ambiance encourages casual dining, and is a popular eatery that is favored by locals and tourists alike. Reasonable prices and make sure also to try the desserts.
2. Peploes - For those of you who would like to indulge in fine dining, Peploes, a chic French restaurant is definitely worth a visit. It can be found at 16 St. Stephen's Green, City Center in Dublin. This restaurant is popularly called the "Ivy of Dublin", and serves exclusive continental and French dishes. Peploes restaurant is very popular and reservations are required for guests to get a table.
3. Darwin's - Darwin's is a small steakhouse that is located on 16 Aungier Street and is reputed to be the best place in the city to get a steak. The steakhouse provides visitors with great value for money and the food is delicious.
4. Cafe Urbano - For diners looking for a good restaurant in the Irish Financial Services Center SC, the most obvious choice is Cafe Urbana which is located at Lower Mayor Street, IFSC, City Center North. The Cafe Urbano is open for breakfast as well and boasts a wonderful carvery menu that is available from 12 pm every day.
5. Mint - Located at 47 Ranelagh Village, this restaurant serves its patrons brilliantly prepared food made from fresh ingredients. It is one of the most popular restaurants in the city. Mint offers some of the best food in all of Ireland. Irish stew and Gaelic meatballs are foods which you should certainly try.
Irish food includes favourites such as seafood with cod and salmon from the Irish sea and also the traditional Irish breakfast, bangers and mash. One would not necessarily expect experience godo sea food in Ireland but it is surrounded by water and the Atlantic and Irish sea means the provision of some quality fresh fish. To finish of an Irish coffee is always worth also trying.
