Expert Author Rafael Marquez

There are many things that you can do with your videos. Here is a short list of five different things that you can do with the videos that you have either already taken, or are about to take.

  1. Video business cards. Essentially, what a video business card is, is a brief introductory video where you greet your visitors to your website. Try to keep it under a minute, since it's only an introduction and yo want make sure that people watch the whole thing.
  2. Video home tours. This is particularly useful, if you are a realtor. You can shoot a brief video or a brief video segments showing people the homes that you have for sale. Very easily you can walk around and show the living room, the kitchen etc. and highlight some of the features of the property. Again, try to keep the video length to under 90 seconds, in order to ensure that people will watch the entire length. At the end of the video, make sure to have a slide with your contact information and your website address so that your potential clients can contact you.
  3. Video profiles for award winners. A great way to highlight your award winners would be to shoot a brief video of them. Nothing very fancy, just a simple this is so and so and they won such and such award and this is why they won it.
  4. Nonprofit special events. You can use the power of video to promote your upcoming special event for a nonprofit. Let's say you are doing a school supply drive, a great way to get more people interested is to show them what you did with the supplies that you got perhaps the year before. Show how grateful the kids are to receive their new backpacks and notebooks etc. and you're bound to encourage new donations since donors will want to share in the good feelings.
  5. Nonprofit overview of services. This goes hand-in-hand with the special events I just mentioned. The idea is that you'll want to highlight, or showcase, the works that your nonprofit is doing and how they benefit the community. Having something tangible that potential donors, especially corporate donors, can show will undoubtedly help your efforts and may increase your donations.
