Step 1. Eye catching photo or image
According to research, a catchy photo will increase your eBay closing rate by 20%. In some categories the figures are even higher. Show at least six pictures from different angles in all your eBay listings. If your item has some minor damages, make sure you take picture on that particular part and show it to your potential buyers.
Your customers will perceive you as a honest seller and this will increase your creditability instantly.
Step 2. Look for poor eBay listings.
Every day lots of auctions on eBay closed without any bids. There are several reasons, for example: poor listing title, short description, item listed in wrong category, wrong spelling and so forth. You can spot all this poor listing easily.
Choose an eBay category that you plan to focus in and search for items that are going to finish within the next hour. This is where you will find some great bargains at low price. Buy them and resell back on eBay at market price.
Step 3. Auction closing time
Generally the best time to close your auction is on Sunday and Wednesday evening. Some eBay gurus suggest that for business related products Monday or Tuesday during office hours are best.

Step 4. Buy in bulk
This is one of the basic principal I doing business, buy in bulk and sell individually. In order to do this, you need some capital to start. Find a reliable supplier, negotiate for a good price and buy wholesale.
This will lower your unit per cost and increase your profit margin.
Step 5. Try other online auctions.
According statistic, approximately 95% of all online auction sales comes from eBay.
eBay has the largest number of registered users and listings. Because of this, items listed for sale on eBay get the best prices.
Start searching around for some smaller online auctions site, because items listed with them will not close at a good price compare to eBay. What you need to do is buy from them and resell it on eBay.
