4. Choose a place and time when there is something important on.

This could be after a birthday party or a big football game. During these times, he is probably too distracted with other things and therefore feels less emotional pain.

5. Ask a friend to give him the bad news.

Ask a good friend of yours to give him the bad news. Make sure the friend of yours give a direct and simple message so that he fully understands the relationship is over.
