4 Ways to Drive Massive Amounts of Traffic to Your Internet Marketing Website

It's been said that content is king on the Internet, and to a certain degree this is true. But if content is king, then traffic is queen, knight, rook, and bishop all rolled in to one!

After all, it doesn't matter how great your content is if nobody sees it. Nor does it matter how well your sales page converts if nobody knows it exists. Here are 4 ways to drive massive amounts of traffic to your website so that you can make the money you deserve

1. Social bookmark everything you do. Every time you use a social bookmarking site like Digg or Stumbleupon to bookmark your new web page, you create a link back to that page. More links equal better weight with the search engines, which can mean a lot more traffic for you.

But the truly great thing about social bookmarking is that it allows you to get traffic regardless of how well your site does in Google, Yahoo, or MSN's web search results. Other users on these websites will see and visit the pages you've linked to. And if those pages are interesting enough, other people will link to them as well. The net result is more traffic for your website.

2. Write articles. Don't just write articles for your website. Write them for article directories like EzineArticles.com. Why?

Article marketing is a tried-and-true way to drive traffic to improve your site's rankings and drive more traffic to your pages. Many readers end up at article directories when looking up information on a topic. After reading your article, they can follow your author bio link back to your site.

Another great thing about article directories is that the good ones have high PR, or page rank, with Google. This means that an article you post at a directory might do even better there than it would on your own site. It also means that you'll get links from a high PR site, towards your own site, which is good for SEO.

3. Give something away for free. Free reports are a time-honored way of generating customer appreciation and spreading the word about your site. Just make sure you give away quality information about your niche.

Put your site's web address at the bottom footer of every page. On the very last page of your report, encourage readers to visit your site to find out more. A good free report will get passed from one person to the next (i.e., "go viral"). This can do some really good things for your web traffic. 4. Start using a signature line. A signature line with a quick blurb about your site, niche, or product, that links directly to your site, can give you more traffic than you might think.
