Now that the holidays are behind us, it's time to get busy taking your business to the next level. In order to grow your business quickly, you need to have a solid business foundation. If there are any leaks or cracks in your foundation, your business growth will be shaky. One of the fundamental elements of a strong foundation is to value yourself, your time and your income.
Here are 4 questions to ask yourself to identify and plug up any money leaks you may have in your business.
1) Where am I over-delivering? Over-delivering is one of the #1 ways women entrepreneurs give away their money power. The time that you're spending over-delivering could add up to hours per week. This lost time could be better spent by establishing JV partner relationships that result in thousands of dollars flowing into your business or attending networking events to build rapport and get new clients.
2) Where am I undercharging? Undercharging is a mindset challenge that many women entrepreneurs have. When I first started out, I wasn't charging enough for my products and services and I couldn't make a living earning that kind of income. I quickly realized that I needed help and began working with a strong mentor. Shortly after that I quadrupled my rates and got it! In order to overcome undercharging, begin to focus on how your product or service will change your client's life. This will immediately increase your confidence and you'll begin to value yourself and what you have to offer at a much higher level.
3) What is a boundary that I need to put in place to support me? We all need support. One of the most important areas where you need to have strong boundaries is around your time. As a solo woman entrepreneur, TIME = MONEY. You need to be focusing your time on the highest and most authentic income-generating activities so your business can be profitable. In order to do this, you need support to get all of other items in your business completed.
4) What is one thing I can let go off that is sucking up my emotional energy? It may be a conversation with someone that you've been avoiding or a time-sucking task that you need to delegate to a team member. It could also be a way of thinking that you need to change. Every time you think about these you may get emotionally drained or not feel empowered. These are all 'energy zappers' that knock you off your game and cost you money. It's really important to address or let go of these 'energy zappers' so you can free up that emotional and mental space to focus on things that are going to move you and your business forward.
