In this article, you will learn 4 easy to implement tactics to double or even triple your web site traffic using video. You do not need any video editing or video production experience. In fact, you do not need a camcorder or any other video recording equipment to immediately begin implementing this simple 4 step video marketing action strategy.
Step 1: Write Your Video Script
The first step to creating your marketing video is to write the script for your video. I am a big fan of using templates for my video scripts. Using templates helps simplify and expedite the process of writing the scripts.
There are a number of templates that I use including how-to templates in order to create the titles and topics of my videos. Using how-to templates is actually a strategy that I learned from article marketing guru Eric Gruber. The format of how-to template is as follows:
How to (mundane task) in order to (get benefit)
For example, "How to Market Articles to Get Tons of Web Site Traffic" can be my video's title and topic. Here's another example of a how-to template in action:
How To Optimize Your Web Page to Get More Search Engine Visitors
Step 2: Create a Power Point Presentation Using Microsoft Power Point
Using your video's script, create a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation. If you are on a Mac, the Mac equivalent of Power Point is a software presentation program called Keynote. If you are not familiar with how to use Microsoft PowerPoint there are a couple of books that I can recommend:
Plain and Simple Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007
Teach Yourself Visually Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007
Either book will teach you the fundamentals of PowerPoint. You will learn how to create presentations from templates or from scratch. You will also learn how to add charts, graphics, animation, sound and other special effects.
Step 3: Record Your PowerPoint Presentation Using Camtasia Screen Capture Software
Think of Camtasia software as a video camera that will record anything on your computer screen. You can download the software with a free 30 day trial. The software also comes with lots of helpful video tutorials. However, if you want to take your Camtasia skills to the next level, then I recommend that you invest in a book called Camtasia Studio 6 The Definitive Guide. However, in July of 2010, Camtasia Studio 7 The Definitive Guide will be released.
Step 4: Blast Your Video Throughout the Net Using Traffic Geyser
Traffic Geyser is a paid service which automates the distribution of your videos. A completely free alternative to Traffic Geyser is Tube Mogul. In any case, I strongly recommend that you manually submit your videos to the Net's largest video sharing site, YouTube.
