Okay... so you need help boosting the conversion rates of your squeeze page. Did you know that if your squeeze page is not converting 33% of its visitors into subscribers your business may fail? That's right... list building is the foundation of your online business, and without it you wouldn't have a business. But I'm not going to get into that. I'm going to explain to you the exact methods I use to ensure that my lead capture page is converting at least 40% of its visitors into subscribers.
Here's what you need to do:
1. Start by taking all other links off of your capture page. You'll be surprised at how many times people will click every link on your squeeze page without even thinking about opting into your email list. So start by taking those links off of your squeeze page. This will increase your conversion rates tenfold. I'm serious... if you left these links on your website, you would be losing subscribers every single day.
2. Make sure that your squeeze page title is very compelling to your readers. Depending on where you get your traffic from, each visitor will have a different value. I know this sounds weird, but it's true. You see, some forms of traffic do not deliver the quality of others. So ensuring that your title is compelling to the reader will increase your chances of building a bigger list.
3. Create a list of benefits not features. If you really want to get people's attention when they visit your squeeze page, you should create a list of benefits that they will receive when subscribing to your email list. These benefits should be targeted towards their needs, wants and desires. If you do this, you'll be surprised at the results you get. A simple list of five benefits will do.
4. Make sure that your opt-in form is very visible. I can't tell you how many times I've seen squeeze pages where you would have to scroll down several times before the opt in form is visible. If you ever hope to build a big list, I suggest that you put the form right below your title. That way people will be able to easily subscribe to your mailing list. Also, avoid using hype. If you want people to take you seriously, you will not create a lead capture page that is full of useless lies.
