Here's a FACT: Obesity and obesity-related diseases has been one of the number one killers, second only to smoking.

And obesity doesn't care what your age is - whether you're a grown-up or a teenager, you're bound to be one of its victims if you don't take necessary steps.

But here's the problem: kids and teens need carbohydrates and calories (which every adult is steering away from!) since they're still growing up. It will be VERY hard to tell if they've crossed the thin-red line between healthy eating and obesity.

Worry NOT though. I'll be spilling down some nice and handy weight loss tips that work especially for teens.

Lose Weight Tips For Teens No. 1

Since for teens cutting down drastically is NOT advisable - burning calories is the option to go for.

That means you NEED to get rid of that desk-bound lifestyle and replace it with a more active one. Exercise and physical drills are a MUST for burning those fats although, I would also strongly advise that junk foods should be avoided while increasing the amount of fruits and vegetables on your diet.

Lose Weight Tips For Teens No. 2

Now the first advice doesn't mean that there's nothing you can do about the carbs and calories you take.

Instead of settling for simple carbs (which you can find in junk foods!), go for complex carbs that you can easily find in cauliflower, rice, oatmeal, etc. This will NOT only give you a sudden burst of energy BUT on the brighter side...you will NOT gain weight.

Lose Weight Tips For Teens No. 3

Skipping meals - that's a BIG no-no...whether you're an adult or teen.

It doesn't matter what your reason is - pressure in school, busy with your hobbies, etc., skipping your meals will deprive you of the needed carbs and energy that you need to make it through the day.

And worse, skipping meals will result to malnourishment!

PLUS here's what your body will do: your fat-burning metabolism will refuse to get rid of the fats in your body since it will think that these fats are necessary for your survival.

The end result? You will NOT lose weight!

Teens and kids - I would like to emphasize that their body structure, especially how it deals with weight gain and loss, is way more complex than an adult's.

Nevertheless, it's still possible to save them from the fangs of obesity. BUT of course, you need to apply these weight loss tips for teens that have been proven to work time and time again!
