2. Matchstick. This is called a matchstick blind since it uses a wooden matchstick as a guide in measuring the diameter of the bamboo piece. Thin, long pieces of bamboo are used in making this one. Mostly, pieces are round, but they can also be flat or square.
A blind may be called a matchstick mesh if it makes use of few bamboo pieces and if more string is used in sewing the pieces together.
3. Slat. This is made from basswood. This can give calmness to a room. Today, this can be available also in bamboo. This is also decorative and attractive.
Bamboo blinds are becoming more popular especially to people who are environmentally friendly. We think that bamboo is a tree, but in reality, it is a grass. It can grow for a short period so there is always a replacement for those that were cut. With that, there is a limited chance that bamboo will be gone.
