3 Tips to the Perfect Golf Swing Form

Many golfers will tell you that the perfect golf game is 90% mental and only 10% skill.  That being so, then why is golf such a hard and frustrating game to master?  Every great golf shot starts off the same way, with your Golf Swing Form. If your setup is not accurate then it will affect your entire shot.

Is your back hurting you after 18 holes of golf?  Do you spend more time in the woods looking for your ball than you do on the fairway?  Did you know that there are 3 key techniques that every perfect golf swing form will have?

1) The Proper Stance - will help eliminate back strain as you perform your swing, and maximize power throughout your shot. The center of your club face should be at the center of the ball.  Make sure to place your front foot slightly ahead of the ball.  Your feet should be about shoulder width apart, and your knees should be slightly bent.  Relax your muscles, this stance should feel light and comfortable.

2) Avoiding Back Strain - One of the major keys to avoiding back or shoulder injury is to make sure you are relaxed and not tense.  Your back should be straight, and your front foot should remain comfortable.  Keep your arms straight, and your club grip should not be too tight.  You should feel relaxed and at ease, if you are not then it will come across in your shot, and could also end in injury to yourself.

3) Lower Body Aligned - Keep your core muscles tight for balance as you shift your weight from back to front.  Your feet, knees, hips and your shoulders should all be facing parallel to your target.  Keeping this alignment thought the entire shot is a very important step in hitting the ball straight towards your target, and with maximum power behind it.  Practicing this alignment is essential especially if you suffer from a golf slice.
