3 Tips to Keep Away From the Stigma of Being a Drop Shipper
Print This Article Ezine Publisher Send To Friends Add To Favorites Post A Comment Suggest Topic Report Author

Some of us who are trying to either make an extra living by selling wholesale on sale sites such as eBay or utilize a small online store or a blog for this process, use a drop shipping group. This saves us money and time in a diversity of ways, but what's the best thing about it is that you don't have to pack up each individual product you sell, bring it to the post office and deliver it. That can truly eat away at your time, and if you are a family person with a lot of things to do at some point in the day, delivery can get postponed leaving annoyed clients. Another thing is that you don't even need to have the item you're selling in your office or house; it is at one of your many wholesale sources.

Unluckily, there has been a stigma developed against individuals who use the drop shipping system, mostly by "hate big business" groups who actually liked the old Mom-and-Pop atmosphere of online marketing when it first got started. If you go on track of wholesale news, you will hear about it. They don't like mass goods imported from a foreign country, they want something from the Curio Shop of Auntie Mae. Of course, if they really inspect the label, they would discover that most of the goods Mom-and-Pop shops sell are the very same mass goods that they are trying to keep away from, but to them that is not really the point. They just want to feel as if they're sustaining a family by their purchase, not purchasing from an unfeeling big company that employs tons of persons at very low salary.

Although you are supporting a family by your sales, having a product drop shipped can make it look to the purchaser as if it came from one of those aforesaid companies. This is where these useful tips come in, so you can keep your image of a small online store, whose sales go for a good source.

Tip 1: Search for a private label drop shipping group, where you can either customize your own goods online, where they are bought from a personalized page, then delivered right from that company to the customer. Your goods stay customized as you formed them, and you do not lose face.

Tip 2: Check if the drop shipping group you are presently using will enable you to "blind ship". Meaning, no return address will be attached to the box, but it is a quick and cheap way to keep your clients from figuring out where your goods really came from.

Tip 3: Most drop shipping groups will permit you to customize an invoice that will be included in the item they are shipping. They might have their business's return address on the outside of the box, but inside will be your own invoice with your business name, phone number, logo and something else you care to add.

In order to make money in business online, one of the core factors determining this would be the strength of your supply chain.
