3 Tips I Learned From a StarCraft 2 Protoss Guide

The Protoss is my favorite race in StarCraft 2. For some reason most people I talk to rather play the Zerg or Terrans. Playing as the Protoss which I believe is the least played race in the game also gives me motive to get really good at playing them. In my quest to become the best Protoss player I can be I bought a StarCraft 2 Protoss guide. Here are the top 3 tips that I learned.

1) Zealot rush. Zealots are the most basic unit you can make as the Protoss and they do their initial job well. If you can pump out a lot of zealots in the beginning of the game and rush your opponent it will force them focus on trying to take out your rush. A lot of players will be very flustered by your rush attacks and you can have an easy win on your hands if they can not focus on how to effectively ward your attacks off and continue to build their defenses and offenses.

2) How effective a sentry unit can be. When I first started playing StarCraft 2 as the Protoss I did not fully understand how powerful the sentry unit is. They have 2 very useful abilities: force field and guardian shield. Force field makes it impossible for ground units to pass through it. Force field can be used in choke points to keep your ranged units like stalkers free to attack without being harassed by melee troops. This can be a huge defensive tactic. Guardian shield is also an amazing tool because it will reduce the ranged damage that your units take by 2 for 15 seconds. This can really add up if you have a lot of ranged attackers all around your troops.

3) How to counter the other races strengths. Probably the most important thing I learned from my StarCraft 2 Protoss guide was how to effectively counter the strengths of the other races, no matter if I am playing against the Zerg, Terrans, or Protoss. The guide taught me the strategies that the other players will be using and how to spot them and quickly get your counter ready for attack. If you can spot what your enemy is building and that unit has a weakness, as long as you can prepare for it in advance it will leave the other player wishing they knew what you know!

The guide that I have has a very in depth guide for every race in the game. It also has a basic guide that will help you learn some of the basics of the game that you might not know about. If you are interested in becoming the best player that you can be you definitely need to check out this StarCraft 2 Protoss Guide for yourself. http://www.starcraft2multiplayerguide.info
