The technology available today makes it very easy to become a prolific information product creator. Here are some of my favorite tools that help speed up the product creation process.

1. Dragon NaturallySpeaking. I hate to type. I have always hated to type. When I was active in the practice of law I became proficient at dictation. This allowed me to get my thoughts down quickly and to maximize my production. The innovations in speech to text technology are astounding. Within a relatively short period of time, using Dragon NaturallySpeaking, you can type as quickly as you can speak. This means you can make a quick list of the points you want to make. You can then dictate your thoughts.

2. Mind mapping. My mapping is the process of free-form thinking idea flow in a way that allows the creative mind to express itself without being blocked by the critical mind. This allows you to think through connections on topics that would never come through any other way. It is gotten to the point where you can use open source software to create viable mind maps. Check out freemind by doing a Google search. It will help you become a product creation wizard.

3. Screen capture software. One of the easiest ways to create an information-based product is to do a "show and tell." We have all been doing show and tell since we were in grammar school. Think how easy it is - all you have to do is show the main topic and then tell whatever it is you have to tell about it. People on the Internet are searching for information. Show and tell information is very helpful. I happen to enjoy using Camtasia software but you can also use open source software such as Camstudio.
