Over the past 5 years we have seen the social media, rocket ship take off. This rocket ship is one of the greatest tools added to the Internet. It allows people from all over the world to connect instantly.
Facebook has over 800 million users, and is the #2 visited website in the world. YouTube gets 4 billion video views per day. Twitter is the 10th largest website in the world with over 500 million active users.
These are huge numbers, and when we are building a network marketing business, it makes life so much easier to connect with people. You can post something on your wall, and your entire database of friends will see it instantly.
I do see many of us trying to build a network marketing business the wrong way, using social media. These sites can be a big time waster if you let it. But since you are not that person, you are going to use social media the right way.
Here are the correct ways to turn your friends into distributors using social media.
1. Facebook
Your friends are those that have known you for a long time. They see you as this fun person to hang out with. Keep it that way. Just because you are in a new network marketing company, does not mean you put on your best suit and get stuffy.
Building a network marketing business is fun. It's a way to get around people who all have the same dreams as you. When your posting on Facebook, show your friends what a good time your having. Post pictures of the events your at. Or the new car you just purchased. Each day tell your friends about how you are talking with new people, and building their dreams.
When your friends start to see you are having a good time, they will want to know more about what you are doing. Some will call you right away, and other friends will wait to see you having success. Either way, you will continue to build your network marketing business with or without them.
2. Twitter
Twitter is another communication tool that lets you connect with even more people than Facebook. Facebook only lets you have 5,000 friends. Twitter you can have an unlimited amount of people. Some celebrities have millions of followers.
Build your twitter profile with as many friends as you can. Then start to get friends of their friends to follow you. As your building your twitter account you can start to post tweets each day. Same as true with Facebook. Let others know the fun you are having. If you are out, and someone said a funny joke, tweet it. If you are talking about your products, let others know the fun you are having with that.
Raise your energy level on twitter, and others will naturally want to know more about what you are doing.
3. YouTube
YouTube is my favorite way to connect with my friends. A simple video that you post will go a long way. Your friends want to see you on camera having fun, helping others, and just being cool. People always gravitate to fun and exciting people. And others are so TV watching lovers, that they will watch YouTube all day long.
As you add in your videos to YouTube, you can put a link at the bottom under the video back to your company website. Tell your friends in your video to click on the link to get more info about the fun you are having.
