In this article I will layout 2 simple steps or tweaks that will give your site a boost in the search engines. It's the little things that make a difference! You may have heard of these techniques but haven't really implemented them or knew of the importance. I myself, used to struggle to get traffic to my sites because I didn't know a lot about online marketing. If this sounds like you, I will explain two tactics for site optimization.

1. Create Unique META tag descriptions. Most of the time when someone builds a site, it is an exact copy of the home page. The title, keywords and description of the site are completely the same! So you must go into your HTML code and change your descriptions so that they match the content that is on that particular page. This makes it a lot easier for you to get multiple listings for keywords you would have never thought of.

2. Add a sitemap. By adding a sitemap to the footer your website will help the search engine bots to crawl your website. It makes it easier for the search engine spiders to read you site and make sure all your web pages are indexed. The more pages you have in Google or other search engines, the better. There are plenty of software tools that will help you create a sitemap for your site, simply Google it.
