Can you believe that your little one is already one? It seems like it was only the other day that they were born. Now, you know that they will never remember their 1st birthday party when they are older but still you want to celebrate this momentous occasion in their lives and hopefully have some great photos and video footage to show them when they are older. So let's give you some ideas about how you can make that 1st Birthday Party a fun and exciting day to remember.
1st Birthday Party Ideas - Memory Making Mission
You have dreams for your child and the chances are that those close to you and your child also have ideas of how they would like to see your child grow up. Why not turn these dreams into memories by asking each person to bring a gift that symbolizes what they would like for your child? These gifts do not need to be age-appropriate, you can put them away to give to the child later when they will appreciate them more.
Get each person to also write down why they have chosen to give this specific gift to your child and then take photos of the child and the guest with the symbolic gift that can get put in a scrapbook with the message that the guest wrote.
If the gift the guest bought is not age appropriate then they may want to bring another gift that the child can use immediately; but toys and other age-appropriate gifts can still be symbolic. A toy horse could symbolize the hopes of the child being a rider, a book representing the hopes that the child will be an avid reader or other symbolic toys and children's items.
What are you going to give your child at this 1st birthday party? What hopes and dreams do you have for your child? Perhaps you want to give them a Bible as a symbol of your faith and the hopes that your child will follow it; Perhaps you want to give a compass to symbolize your hope that they will take the right direction in life; or a red rose as a symbol of the love you want your child to give and receive during their life?
First Birthday Party Invitations
You have decided what you want to do for this great occasion and have set the date so now it is time to send out those invitations. You will have enough to do with the other preparations and so will want to keep this as short and easy as possible and so we want to share a great way to do that (and to hold memories of this event for a lifetime and in a way that your child will appreciate when they are a little older).
Social networking is becoming very popular today and this allows you to set up your own web page quickly and easily and personalize it.
