Looking for a good physical therapist school is essential as it determines your future. Here are 10 things you should think about when choosing the suitable school for yourself.

1)     The accreditation

The university you are applying MUST be approved and its program MUST be accredited by the Commission on Accredited Programs in Physical Therapy Education.  

2)     The support provided

What resources does the school offer to the students to support them to obtain the qualification with ease?

3)     The entry level

What are the basic academic requirements you need to meet in order for you to be accepted by the school?

4)     The curriculum

You need to find out the details of the curriculum. Bear in mind that different schools may have some differences on their curriculum structure and the course work. Some of the schools have much focus on researches.

5)     The uniqueness

Find out whether the school offers any differentiation.

6)     Financial assistance

Is there any financial assistance or scholarship available? This is important if you don't have sufficient fund to complete the study. 

7)     The course fee

What are the total costs involved in completing the course?

8)     Clinical skills

What are the approaches used by the school to equip the students with necessary practical skills? 

9)     The time frame

It is indeed important for you to find out the duration required to complete the entire program. In general, the duration of the course is not fixed. It depends on each school's individual requirements but it normally lasts from 2-3 years. 

10) The total number of graduates that the school has produced

You should also find out the passing rates of the graduates from the school annually.
