Lies about money mean misconceptions about money that have settled in people's subconscious mindset thereby directing and dictating their behaviors and lifestyles. Lies about money are memes. Meme is a unit of cultural information such as cultural idea or practice that is transmitted verbally or by repeated action from one mind to another. Memes are point of views we live with and live by. These memes determine how you relate to money that determine how money enters or leaves your life. Your financial life hinges on these memes. The memes operate with your subconscious mind. Stated below are the lies and the truths about money.
(1) Lie: Money is not important. Some people say money is not important. Do you find yourself saying this lie once in a while? I'm afraid the statement is a lie which can make you poorer.
Truth: Money is important. We all need it. Everyone wants it. Nobody want to admit they can about it and we all wish we have more. Money may not be every thing but poverty is nothing.
(2) Lie: Money is evil, money is bad and can destroy people's life. This thinking make you poorer.
Truth: Money is neither evil nor good. It takes character of the person spending it and by so doing is amoral. Money is in the hand of a drug addict is used to for drugs and using it for drugs is bad, While money in the hand of a pastor used for God's work is good money.
(3) Lie: Money will solve your poverty problems. Money will take your lack away.
Truth: One of biggest problems money cannot solve is poverty. Thinking is otherwise is a big lie and in fact, one of the biggest lies about money that people believe about money. All the money in the world if given to you will not solve your poverty problems because money will finish and you will still need more. Rather, its money -making abilities and financial education will solve your poverty problems. The only solution is money-making abilities and financial education. The more your financial education increases, the more you see money with your mind in form of opportunities.
(4) Lie: Money never affects you.
Truth: Money affects you. in fact, researcher shows that men fear poverty or lack of money than death. The reason why you shout at your relatives', wife's, friends' death is you don't have money because money affect you.
(5) Lie: Money never hurt anyone.
Truth: Research has shown that injuries can be sustained when loss of money occur and can kill anybody if care is not taken.
(6) Lie: Some are destined or favored for wealth and some are destined for poverty.
Truth: God has given all of us the same 24 hours in a day and same abilities and advantages to make money. Just learn how to go about your own.
(7) Lie: God does not want you to be financially prosperous.
Truth: No one has been so misunderstood as God. God created you for good, to be financially prosperous is one of His aims for you. God has not created you for poverty. Stop believing a lie
(8) Lie: There is nothing you can do about your financial situation.
Truth: This is a lie, there are so many things you can do about your financial situation. Poverty is a choice. Lack is a choice and prosperity is a choice you make. You can choose the one you like. You cannot be better than your choice.
(9) Lie: I will just get rich the day my luck comes.
Truth: Wealth is not made one day. It is built over a period of time. You cannot get rich suddenly, you can only get rich slowly. Any time you are trying to get rich suddenly, you lose more money and come back to point zero.
(10) Lie: Money is the root of all evil.
Truth: Money is not the root of evil. It is one of the greatest needs of life., your belief can limit how much of it you can get. So the more you believe these lies about money, the poorer you become. Most poor people believe these lies more than rich.
