Today I just want to walk you through 10 great ideas on what success can mean and do for you. Take this and use it in your life this week.

1. Rob Rowbottom, "I never build a case against myself". How many people stop themselves before they even get started. If you don't believe it, try it on people you know, or don't know.

Present something difficult that you are planning on doing and listen as they come back at you with all kinds of reasons it cannot be done. People have this natural thing to look at why things can't be done. Go out and do the opposite. Always look at how to get things done. Stop building a case against yourself.

2. Robert Collier in Acre of Diamonds: "The difference between the successful man and the unsuccessful one is not so much a matter of training or equipment. It is not a question of opportunity or luck. It is just in the way that each of them look at things" How are you looking at things? As a winner or as a loser. Like you can, or like you can't. I want you moving forward to look at things differently. Look at things and determine how you are going to get them done. That will create success for you.

3. George Schultz: "The minute you start to talk about what you're going to do if you lose, you have lost. I never think about what I am going to do when I lose. If I lose I will deal with it then. Right now I have to be focused on winning and so should you.

4. Napoleon Hill: "Nothing stands between us and our desires except lack of a definite purpose". What is your purpose? What is your vision? Where are you headed? Do you have any idea? Once you define that purpose, nothing will be able to stop you.

5. Woodrow Wilson: "I not only use all the brains I have, but all that I can borrow". None of us is that good. We all need to borrow from those around us. Did you know that the smartest, most successful people in the world have a huge network of people they know and trust. Did you ever wonder why? How are you doing on building your network?

6. Og Mandino, "I will always announce my goals to the world. Yet Never will I proclaim my accomplishments." If you really want people to hold you accountable and make you preform. Just make the announcement of what you are going to do to the world. They will be watching you, ready to jump on you if you do not do it. Yet, that accountability might be all you need to take on the world.

7. Stop thinking about how to make yourself successful. Start thinking about how to make everyone around you successful. How many of us have been taught this principle? We are taught it in Kindergarten, but then are untaught it the rest of our lives. Go out and help someone else to do well. Connect them. Introduce them. Help them with what they are doing. Guaranteed it will come back you you 10 fold.

8. Dr. Alan Zimmerman, "The person who will not acknowledge defeat cannot be defeated". Plain and simple. If I do not acknowledge defeat you cannot defeat me. No matter what the world says. Not matter what you think. I refuse to be defeated and thus I shall not be defeated. Those of us still standing strong in this down economic period live by this principle. Pick it up. Do it.

9. John Mason, "Don't wait for your ship to come in: swim out to meet it". How many people spend their lives wishing they could. Playing the lottery. Dreaming about how they might some day. But they never do much about it. Real success means taking the feel like it out of the things you need to do and just doing them.

10. Peggy Stanton, "Know how to separate what's important form what's not important". Or as I was telling a group just the other day. Are you working the highest pay back items at all times? Are you doing what is most important on you path to where you want to be. If not, why are you doing it. Go out this week and work toward the success you really want in life.
